Anarcho-Tyranny in Blue Cities

Thoughts on the acquittal of Daniel Penny in New York City

For those who remember, my podcast was originally a solo show. Over time, it shifted into an interview program.

Some people miss the old solo episodes, so I’m bringing them back in the form of a monthly Members only podcast.

Since I’m offering a big discount on becoming a Member this week, I wanted to make this first episode public to everyone to give you a sample of what you’ll get.

I discuss two topics:

  • Why it’s not realistic to expect men to stop watching the NFL

  • What the trial of Daniel Penny in New York tells us about “anarcho-tyranny” in blue cities. Penny was just acquitted of manslaughter after subduing a man who was terrorizing people on the subway who later died. I’ll talk about what anarcho-tyranny is, and give a number of examples - as well as how we should think and act when it comes to justice in blue cities.

This new monthly solo podcast is just one of the benefits you’ll get from becoming a Member. We also do monthly interactive Zoom discussions, and have a private Member Slack group as well. In other words, there’s an actual community of Members here.

This week only, through December 13, you can become a Member at a big discount off the regular price of $50/month. You can join on a monthly basis on Patreon for just $35/month (30% off) or on an annual basis right here on Substack for only $360/year (40% off).

It’s actually an even better deal than it seems because being a Member gets you all the benefits of being a paid subscriber, saving you $10/month.

Don’t miss out on this offer that only comes around about once per year, because it’s a great way to go deeper here and also help sustain and expand what I am doing.
