Astute readers have picked up my many references to my book project over the last several months.
Today I’m pleased to officially announce my new book Life in the Negative World: Confronting Challenges in an Anti-Christian Culture, which will be released on January 30, 2024 by Zondervan Reflective.
This book will have a significantly expanded treatment of my three worlds model and the various strategies evangelicals have used to respond to cultural changes over the past 50 years. And it will also provide a number of strategies for beginning to respond to what I’ve called the negative world, across three dimensions of personal, institutional, and missional.
As you can see, the book is actually available for pre-order now, but as I will likely be doing some sort of launch promotion, there’s no need to buy just yet. But I do expect all of you to eventually pick up your own personal hardcover! In the meantime, you can subscribe here if you’d like:
Obviously there’s what seems like a long time timeline to get a book published, but everything has actually been coming along nicely. I’m very excited about this project, and thankful to Zondervan for partnering to make it happen.
Thanks also to all of you, without whose help I would never have gotten to a point to make this a reality. I really appreciate all the readership and support you’ve given me over the years, and you can expect a formal acknowledgement to that effect in the printed book.
FYI: Comments are open to all on this post.
I’ve been reading your material since 2010. Cool to see your career arc and this is a great next step. Well done.
I hope by the time it releases we will not have entered the sub-negative world, or whatever you call what comes after the negative one...
