I was talking to the founder of historic doors (https://historicdoors.com/profile/) about this podcast. He has been involved in the restoration of classical architecture movement in the Philadelphia area.

One of the points he emphasized to me was that fundamentally classical architecture is about the belief that there is an order to the universe created by God, and we are best served by observing that order and bringing it into the spaces we inhabit through proportional means. He also proposed that modern architecture rejects that premise from the start. He believes this revival is fundamentally the theistic, atheistic debate in the artistic/architectural field.

I thought it was a profound point others might benefit from.

His articulated vision is impressive. What he said about the current state of "government funded" arts programming is unfortunately true, and a true squandering of resources and talent - dated and forgettable.
