My Video Essay on the Today's Evangelical Conflicts

I have a number of new subscribers, so for those of you who haven’t read it, I wrote an influential essay earlier this year in First Things magazine on what I call the three worlds of evangelicalism.

First Things asked me record a video version of my piece, as well as to respond to the criticisms it received. These videos turned out really well. Since lots of people will watch a video before they will read a 4,500 word article, I hope that you will share these videos far and wide. And please also tell people to sign up for the list here.

The first part is an overview of society’s changing view of Christianity, and how evangelicals have responded to this.

In the second video I address three of the criticisms, as well as offer thoughts on a way forward and way I’m actually optimistic about the ability of evangelicals to adapt to the future.
