I like and respect Robby George, but on its face no, it doesn’t work like it worked for him anymore. I personally know many Christians who went into academia, and most of them are eventually shunted out to third rate institutions or out of academia altogether. It’s a standard pattern conservative professors help and mentor many future academics regardless of their affiliation if they think their work is up to snuff, but leftist professors mostly, not entirely, help other leftists. This same pattern obtained in the OSS during WW2 (see R Harris Smiths book) and was part of the reason it had to be scrapped and refounded. Until conservative professors start helping other conservatives (especially those from non protected classes) almost exclusively the wheel will keep turning left.
